Where Creative Passions Become Life-Changing Journeys

The Creative Corner

Back-to-Creativity wrapped this week, and love notes have been coming in ever since. Eco printing, the cubist faces, fabric postcards, quilling, the granny square lesson. Everyone seems to have walked away with a different favorite and a project they want to finish.

While it's still fresh, we're pulling back the curtain on what's coming next. The full 2027 HobbyScool schedule just went live, and there's a lot in it.

Just Announced · The Year Ahead

The 2027 HobbyScool Summit Schedule Is Here

2027 HobbyScool Summit Schedule: 12 Free Events for Makers

Twelve free summits are locked in for 2027, three of which have never run before: Memory Keepers Summit (photo organizing and family history), Paper Crafts & Cardmaking (cards finally get their own event, moved out of the holiday season), and AI for Makers (built for crafters who've never opened a chatbot, no jargon required).

A few returning favorites changed shape too. Art of Handmade picks up a full new day on visible mending and repair. Eco-Creative Summit has been reworked into Grow & Gather, dropping the sustainability framing for something simpler: grow it, put it up, then make something with it.

The full post breaks down all twelve events, month by month, with what each day covers.

Last Chance · Closes August 25

Keep Every Back-to-Creativity Session — 2 Days Left

Nicola Brown's eco printing, the cubist face appliqué, Beth Ann Williams' fabric postcards, free motion quilting, macramé, the polymer clay earrings. If you want to actually sit down and work through the ones you liked, the Back-to-Creativity VIP Pass gives you permanent access to every session plus the extras our speakers contributed. The window closes August 25 and then the replays come down.

"The One Quilt Block, Intro to Free Motion Quilting, and Draw a Cubist Face were my favorite workshops. The time frame was just right and plan to complete the Cubist stained glass quilt block."

Bridget S.

"I feel more empowered to create truly authentic clothing & fabric in my style; the techniques behind eco dying, patchwork pockets, and cubist face appliqué art classes are phenomenal!"

Megan O.

"Loved the quilling tutorial. It was easy to follow, to the point, and demonstrated a craft that you can pick up without needing heaps of lessons or spending a lot of money."
